Description

You've been waiting for this moment your entire life.
Tümmler knew this. Why was he so scared?
Since he was little, he'd always had a voice- a show, for his family and friends.
His little brother, Coon, would always say he'd be a star. And Toom wanted to be a star.
He wanted to be a star. So, so badly.
And here he was.
His family had gathered up enough money to set up a show in the local theater. It wasn't
cheap, though. Everyone chipped in and saved up enough for Toom to have his little
concert- money that, if they had kept, could have benefited them far beyond Toom's precious moment.
They had done this, all of this, just for him. Just for T
ümmler.
And now, here he was, on stage, shuddering in fear.
This was his dream. Everything in his life had led up to his moment.
Toom squinted. There were tons of loons, sitting there, watching, waiting. Dozens. Maybe over a hundred.
He began to hear whispers. He was waiting too long.
T
ümmler opened his mouth and pushed his lungs, trying to let out a few words. Nothing came out, not even air.
The music began.
In about five seconds, Toom's entire life would change.
He didn't want to be known as the kid with an awful voice. He didn't want to be known as the kid who messed up everything...
But he didn't want to be known as the quiet kid even more.
The second he needed to, Toom began singing. He couldn't quite tell, but he knew the loons watching loved it.
His entire body was shocked with tens, thousands, millions of emotions, ranging from utter fear, to guilt, to sweet, sweet, glory.
Words poured from his mouth naturally, flooding the room with song. He couldn't stop even if he wanted to.
The lyrics he had struggled to remember suddenly flowed from his mind to his throat, like he had known them since he was born,
flying into the audience's wide open ears. Toom felt a quiet thud. Backstage, Coon, his brother, was jumping with excitement.
It was about mid-song when the colors began to flash, lights waterfalling from above, dousing Toom with their warm aura.
The theater was full of nothing but leaping music. Toom was living his dream. He was a star.
A star!
He couldn't believe it. Suddenly, the music began to fade. The song was over. It had gone by so quickly.
The lights faded and rewound themselves. T
ümmler could suddenly see the audience.
There was definitely more than a few dozen loons.
Their eyes, their faces, everything, were colorful, happy. They couldn't wait to hear more.
Clapping went off like a gunshot, followed by whistling, yelling, shouts of praise.
Toom's entire body was shaking. From excitement, from fear... He didn't know. He didn't care.
I'm a star!
